Is English spoken in the clinics?
To cut it short, yes. English language is learned in schools from the early age in Croatia. All of our physicians and associates speak English fluently.
How long will I be on the wait list?
There is no wait list. When you make up your mind to receive the treatment in Croatia, it takes 7 days for us to organize a departure for you.
How can I come from the airport to my accommodation or the clinic?
As your organizers, we make for you not only a travel arrangement (flight tickets, shuttle tickets, precise schedule or itinerary) but also a transport arrangement.
How many treatments would I need to receive to cure my problem?
Every client is different; hence we approach each one individually and with respect to the urging problem of needs. 1-3 treatments are the usual amount of treatments needed by the patients to fully recover.
How long will it take before I can go / travel home?
It depends on the type of treatment / intervention and the recovery process which is relative to every individual. Your physician will tell you in detail about the recovery time and recommended time of stay in Croatia.

Adriatic Healing is a mediator between a client and the service provider in Croatia. This means that our agents consult you on the best offer of the flight tickets, secure accommodation for you and offer you many other services, according to your needs and requests. However, the payment is made directly to the service provider.
Can I extend my stay in Croatia even after the treatment?

What if something unexpected happens during my stay in Croatia?
There is no need to worry. You have a personal assistant at your service that takes care of all the possible problems; making sure it does not even come to that.
Should I make a (travel) insurance policy for the stay?
Even though Croatia is one of the safest countries in the world, we kindly recommend getting an insurance policy. This is for your own sake. Furthermore, if you have any doubts on which insurance to choose, we can assist you in that as well. Inclusively, our agents can consult you on the best offer regarding the insurance policies as made by our partners in insurance companies; all that based on your needs and requests!
Why does medical service cost less in Croatia than in the UK?
The cost of the medical service is based on the supply and demand policy on the capital market, and on the economy status of the country as well. Because the living expenses are generally lower than in the UK and the cost of the work force is also lower, the cost of the medical service is automatically much lower as well.
Do you provide a guarantee of your medical services for me?
We guarantee that your medical treatment will be operated according to the rules and standards of the Croatian Ministry of Health. Furthermore, some of our clinic partners can provide you with the guarantee of their services or material used. Feel free to contact us for more information.
Can I speak to the physician before going on a treatment in Croatia?
When you contact us and send us your general health condition paper, we inform our physician, who is in charge, on your condition. Then we can organize a Skype meeting (a Skype call) so that you can ask anything concerning your treatment procedure.
Do I get the results of my treatment in English?
Yes, you do, both in digital and written form.
Is it safe to travel immediately after the treatment?
You will get discharged from hospital as soon as there is no risk of complications from the treatment. Only after your therapy has finished and your physician has consulted you on the estimated time of your recovery, will you then be able to travel safely back home.
How does the payment procedure look like?
Payment (money transfer) has to be made directly to the bank account of our service providers i.e. partners. However, it is our mission to make you feel satisfied by consulting you, arranging things for you and meeting your needs, all that completely free of charge!
When to make the payment?
The payment is to be made immediately after the treatment, in most of the cases. However, if the treatment is more complex, the clinics prefer paying for the services in advance (a certain amount in advance) and the rest of it after the treatment. For more information do not hesitate to contact us. Accommodation services and arrangements of activities are paid in advance, before coming to the country.
Can my insurance company cover for my medical expenses in Croatia?
Yes, it can, but only if your insurance policy covers for the medical expenses in Croatia. If you consider this as an option, please do check that with your insurance company.
Can I pay off the treatment in instalments?
Unfortunately, you cannot. Our partners do not receive instalments.
Should I pay in local currency?
You can pay in Croatian Kuna (HRK) or in Euros (EUR).
What methods of payment do you accept?
You can pay in cash, debit or credit cards.
Is it safe to travel to Croatia?
According to the International SOS and Control Risks security service, Croatia is among the low risk countries. GOV.UK also reports that violent crime is rare and crime levels are low in Croatia. What kind of power socket is there and what is its current power (voltage)?
The maximum current power is 230 V or 50Hz of alternate current (AC). Croatia uses standard European sockets (round ones). If you travel from the UK, be sure to take an adapter with you.
Can I drive in Croatia?
Driving in Croatia requires having an international driving licence. Additionally, you should have your own national driving licence, passport and an insurance policy. Please, bear in mind that you can only drive on the right side of a lane in Croatia.
Can pay by cards?
Paying by cards is widely accepted in Croatia. However, some smaller café bars and local shops do not have that option. Hence you’d better have some cash with you.
Can I withdraw money from the ATMs?
Of course you can. When you put your card into the machine, you will first have to choose the preferred language of use. You should know that you can only withdraw Croatian money (Kuna) and that a commission can be charged. You should check this out at your own bank before arriving.
What is the official currency in Croatia?
The only official currency is Croatian Kuna. 1 kuna (HRK) = 100 lipa(s) in coins. Kuna comes in notes of 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, 500 and 1000 and in coins of 1, 2, 5 and 25. Lipa comes in 1, 2, 5, 10, 20 and 50.
What time zone is Croatia in?
Croatia is in Central European Time Zone (CET) or UTC+1. In other words, Croatia is one hour ahead of the UK.
Do I need a visa for Croatia?
If your passport states that you are a British Citizen, then you do not need to have a visa. If you have some other form of British citizenship, you might need a visa. Please check that out with the Croatian Embassy.
